In the USA, the dispute over the handover of office from the current president Donald Trump to the designated successor Joe Biden continues. Normally, preparations for the handover of office are made directly after the election, but Trump has so far refused to do so.
Joe Biden fears that Trump’s refusal could lead to even more Corona deaths. His team, for example, must have access to the plans showing how more than 300 million Americans are to be vaccinated, he said on Monday, local time. Biden warned that if his team had to wait until the inauguration on January 20, this would delay everything by a month or a month and a half.
Incidentally, Trump has until Wednesday to decide whether he will initiate a recount in Wisconsin – at his own expense of about nine million US dollars. He wants to raise this through donations.
