21 July 2020 – The number of people actively suffering from Covid-19 in Austria continues to increase, and the government is reacting to this by extending the obligation to wear masks. Further details will be announced in the course of the afternoon. Within the past 24 hours, 84 new infections have been recorded. Most of them occurred – as in the past days in Vienna and Upper Austria. The good news is that no further corona deaths have been recorded for day
In Vienna 32 new infections were recorded in the past 24 hours, in Upper Austria 23 and in Lower Austria 11. There were ten new cases in Styria, four in Carinthia and one in Burgenland. In Vorarlberg a new infection with the coronavirus was recorded.
In Salzburg, a data cleansing resulted in a reduction in the total number of confirmed cases. On Tuesday, therefore, the new infections in Salzburg were corrected downwards by nine cases.
