Vienna – 25.08.2020 – 211 new infections with the coronavirus were registered within 24 hours in Austria until Tuesday (9.30 am). The number of positive test results thus rose to 25,706 exactly six months after the first confirmed case in the country. 733 deaths related to SARS-CoV-2 have occurred since then, according to the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health, and 21,888 people have recovered.
The number of confirmed current cases has fallen since the previous day. 137 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in hospitals, two more than the day before. The number of intensive care patients has remained the same at 23. The largest number of new infections (87) was in Vienna, a city with over a million inhabitants, followed by 35 in Upper Austria and 32 in Tyrol.

As of Tuesday, August 25, 2020, 8.00 a.m., 7,196 positive tests have been confirmed in Vienna. The number of deaths related to the virus remains unchanged at 210.
5,466 persons have recovered.
