Thursday, 27 August 2020 – Most of the new cases were again registered in Vienna.
Again, more than 300 new infections with the coronavirus have been reported in Austria. Within 24 hours 328 Covid-19 cases were added. Thus there were 3,311 active cases throughout Austria on Thursday morning, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health. 145 people are in hospital, 24 of them in intensive care units.
Most new infections were again in Vienna with 130. Upper Austria recorded 60 additional cases, Tyrol 51, Styria 33 and Lower Austria 28. Three provinces remained in the single digits – eight new infections were in Burgenland, five in Carinthia and three in Vorarlberg.
So far, there have been 26,361 positive test results in Austria. As of Thursday, 9.30 a.m., 733 people throughout Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 22,317 have recovered.
The new infections are divided among the federal states of Austria as follows:

Salzburg: 10
Styria: 33

As of Thursday, August 27, 2020, 8.00 a.m., 7,504 positive tests have been confirmed in Vienna. The number of deaths related to the virus remains unchanged at 210.
5,598 persons have recovered.
