Sunday, 30 August 2020 – After the record increase on Saturday, the corona numbers are going down again.
So far there have been 27,166 positive test results in Austria. As of today (August 30, 2020, 09:30 am), 733 people throughout Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 23,070 have recovered. Currently 140 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 30 of these are in intensive care.
The new infections are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:
Burgenland: 5
Carinthia: 0
Lower Austria: 40
Upper Austria: 19
Salzburg: 10
Styria: 20
Tyrol: 33
Vorarlberg: 3
Vienna: 51
51 new cases in Vienna
In Vienna, according to the figures of the provincial sanitary directorate and the medical crisis management team, there have been 51 confirmed SARS-CoV-2 new infections within 24 hours. As of Sunday (August 30, 8:00 a.m.), 7,828 positive tests have been confirmed in Vienna so far. The day before, 7,777 cases had been reported by the official authorities.
In the federal capital, 210 people have died so far in connection with Covid-19. This number remained unchanged
