Vienna. For Tuesday, 1. September 2020, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health reported 204 new infections within 24 hours, bringing the number of positive test results to 27,642. Across Austria, 734 people died as a result of the coronavirus and 23,565 recovered. Currently, 149 persons are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus, 30 of them in intensive care units.
The new infections since the last notification are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:
Burgenland: 5
Carinthia: 2
Lower Austria: 20
Upper Austria: 16
Salzburg: 13
Styria: 21
Tyrol: 34
Vorarlberg: 11
Vienna: 82
