The 24-hour number of new infections with the coronavirus in Austria amounted to 358 cases on Saturday. This was almost exactly the same number as the day before, when 357 new cases were registered. According to the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health, a further 315 people were considered to have recovered by Saturday morning, while the number of deaths of Covid-19 patients remained the same at 735.
The active cases thus rose to 3,524 affected persons. The number of hospitalized infected patients increased by one patient to 157, while the number of intensive care patients remained constant at 28.
The new infections since the last notification are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:
