Throughout Austria, 184 SARS-CoV-2 infections were reported on Sunday (as of 9.30 a.m.) in the past 24 hours. However, data from Salzburg were missing due to technical problems, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health announced. 64 new cases were reported in Vienna, 36 each in Upper and Lower Austria, 15 in Tyrol, twelve in Vorarlberg, eleven in Styria, eight in Burgenland and two in Carinthia.
The number of deceased infected persons rose by one death to 736. Several hospital patients were discharged home at the weekend: 143 hospitalized persons were registered on Sunday morning, after 157 the day before. In the intensive care units, the workload remained unchanged with 28 Covid-19 patients.
