939 tested positive
So far (status: yesterday, 18 September 2020, 23.00 o’clock) 37,500 persons in Austria were tested positively. That is 939 more than 24 hours before. There are currently 7,447 active coronavirus cases – the previous peak was almost 9,000 at the beginning of April, according to figures from the Ministry of Health. A total of 1,413,965 tests have been performed and reported so far. The figures is published by ORF.at. The public television company uses the figures from the Epidemiological Reporting System (EMS) as the basis for its reporting.
The number of hospital patients is 334, 62 of whom are in intensive care. So far, 744 people have died as a result of the infection. The definition of EMS is decisive for counting the deaths.
