Already yesterday, 609 new infections were reported – today the numbers increased again.
The number of new coronavirus infections has increased again in the last 24 hours. 772 new infections were reported on Wednesday. Already on Tuesday there were 609 new cases. So far, there have been 44,813 positive test results in Austria. As of today (September 30, 2020, 09:30 a.m.), 799 people throughout Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 35,644 have recovered. At present, 496 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 90 of these patients are in intensive care units.
Again, Vienna has the highest number of new coronavirus infections. In the federal capital, 327 cases were registered within one day. In Lower Austria there are 173 and in third place comes Upper Austria with 96 new corona cases.
The new infections since the last notification are divided among the federal provinces of Austria as follows:
Burgenland: 17
Carinthia: 23
Lower Austria: 173
Upper Austria: 96
Salzburg: 36
Styria: 10
Tyrol: 66
Vorarlberg: 24
Vienna: 327
