Only if all citizens followed the rules could a second lockdown be prevented
In Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the population in an unusually drastic speech: only if all citizens followed the rules could a second lockdown be prevented: We are risking just about everything we have achieved in the last few months.

The great decline in attention and compliance with the measures is also having an effect in Germany. And federalism. Merkel had to agree on common minimum rules, for example on wearing masks, at the same time as the state premiers.

According to a survey, 80 percent of Austrians have no problem with compulsory masks.

Education Minister Heinz Faßmann complains to us that in some school classes in the federal states only half of the pupils go into quarantine because the other half come from a federal state that handles the measures differently. Federalism can be that beautiful.

In the meantime, the police are raiding clubs and discos whose visitors do not and do not want to realize that we have a pandemic and should act accordingly.

But according to a survey, 80 percent of Austrians have no problem with compulsory masks anyway. But 20 percent are still more than enough.

No second lockdown is planned, assures the Minister of Health after the emergence of corresponding rumors. Yes, if the vast majority of people behave sensibly.
