In Germany, health authorities have reported 18,487 new corona infections to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within 24 hours. This is 3155 cases more than on Tuesday. Compared to Wednesday last week, the figure is slightly higher. At that time, the number of reported new infections was 17,214.
The peak was reached on Saturday with 23,399 cases reported. The RKI counts a total of 705,687 confirmed infections with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany since the beginning of the pandemic (as of November 11, 00:00 hrs). To date, the number of deaths related to the virus has increased by 261 to a total of 11,767. The RKI estimates that around 454,800 people have now recovered.
