A total of 9,586 corona cases were reported in the past 24 hours. This is once again a new record. However, after technical problems with the Federal Epidemiological Reporting System (EMS), there were again late reports.
Since Thursday, the number of deaths has risen by 53 to 1,661. More than 3,900 Covid-19 patients had to be treated in hospital, including 567 in intensive care units. 76,839 people were actively infected.
The new infections since the last notification are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:
Burgenland: 184 Carinthia: 1,006 Lower Austria: 1,123 Upper Austria: 1,891 Salzburg: 837 Styria: 944 Tyrol: 724 Vorarlberg: 975 Vienna: 1,902
