Upper Austria is the hotspot for hospital utilization with corona patients.
From Saturday to Sunday, 10 people (total: 687) with the most severe corona disease progression were once again admitted to intensive care units in Austria – most of them in the most severely affected province of Upper Austria. The situation there is particularly dramatic, with intensive care beds already being used to almost 91 percent capacity. In comparison: Austria-wide this figure is 60 percent.
With 88 per cent extent of utilization Tirol is in second place of the Lands of the Federal Republic with acutely overloaded health system. Although a patient could be discharged from the intensive care unit yesterday, there are still 66 people in intensive care.
