The City of Vienna has announced a change in the access rules for the mass tests: Starting tomorrow, Sunday, people who are registered for a test in the exhibition hall can bring their family members to the test, although they do not have their own appointments, announced health city councillor Peter Hacker (SPÖ) in the late afternoon. However, the new regulation only applies to the test location Messe Wien, which has a relatively low capacity utilization.

“From tomorrow, anyone who is registered can take their relatives with them to the exhibition hall,” Hacker explained. At Messe Wien, they will then be able to carry out the tests together with their relatives – such as partners, parents, children or parents-in-law.

Previously, it was necessary for everyone who wanted to take part in the mass tests to fix their own date for one of the three available locations – Stadthalle, Messe Wien or Marx-Halle – via an online registration platform.
