Tomorrow, Friday, the second round of Corona mass testing begins in Vienna. It will last until January 17. Around 41,000 people have already signed up for it, according to a joint press conference held today by Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner (ÖVP) and Health City Councillor Peter Hacker (SPÖ). The capacity is designed for almost one million examinations.

At a total of three locations, the population can take advantage of the free offer of a rapid antigen test. If the test is positive, a PCR test can be performed immediately. As at the first attempt, testing will take place in the Stadthalle, the Messe Wien (Hall A and C) and in the Marx Hall.

Anyone wishing to be tested must register. This is possible on the platform of the federation https://oesterreich-testet.at. In addition, appointments can be booked by phone at 0800/220 330. The hotline is available from 7:00 to 22:00.
