From Monday to Tuesday, 1,197 new infections were recorded Austria-wide.
So far, there have been 426,093 positive test results in Austria. As of today (Feb. 9, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 8,071 people across Austria have died as a result of the Corona virus and 404,676 have recovered. This is according to a release from the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Health.
Currently, 1,593 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the Corona virus. Of these, 285 are being cared for in intensive care units.
The new infections are divided among the provinces of Austria as follows:
Burgenland: 19
Carinthia: 85
Lower Austria: 267
Upper Austria: 160
Salzburg: 87
Styria: 210
Tyrol: 98
Vorarlberg: 40
Vienna: 231
