Since Monday, retailers and body-related service providers have been open again. On Tuesday, it was announced that measures to contain the South African mutation in Tyrol will be strengthened. As of Friday, people are only allowed to leave Tyrol with a negative test result. The events are coming thick and fast.
How the openings affect the new infections will only be seen in a few days. The daily new infections are nevertheless too high.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, slightly more cases were registered again, with 1,469 infections.
43 more deaths were reported in connection with the coronavirus. Thus, since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 8,114 people have now died from or with a corona infection.
To date, there have been 427,562 positive test results in Austria. 405,921 people have already recovered.
