Health departments in Germany have reported 11,437 new Corona infections to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within one day. In addition, 92 new deaths were recorded within 24 hours. This is according to figures released by the RKI on Monday morning, which reflect the status of the RKI dashboard as of 05:25. Subsequent changes or additions by the RKI are possible.
On Monday, the case numbers reported by the RKI are usually lower, in part because less testing is done over the weekend. A week ago Monday, the RKI reported 13,245 new infections and 99 new deaths within one day.
According to the RKI, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants reported within seven days was 165.3 nationwide on Monday morning. The previous day, the RKI had reported this seven-day incidence as 162.3.
