The government wants to implement further relaxations of the Corona measures as early as June 10. To this end, consultations with the provincial governors and the association of municipalities will take place tomorrow Friday morning in the Chancellor’s Office.
It is to be expected that the closing time in the gastronomy trade will move further into the night and that the mask obligation in the open air, for example in the soccer stadium, will fall. There is also talk of weddings and club life. Tomorrow, at 9:00 a.m., the talks between the federal government, the state governors and the president of the Association of Municipalities, Alfred Riedl, will start in the Federal Chancellery. From the government side, Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP), Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler, Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein (both Greens) and Tourism Minister Elisabeth Köstinger (ÖVP) will be present. The public will be informed about the results of the talks in the afternoon
Accordingly, following the announcements of the past few days, it is to be expected that there will be relaxations, particularly in the gastronomy sector. For example, the two-meter distance between groups of visitors is likely to be reduced to one meter, and the number of people allowed to sit at a table would be increased. Health Minister Mückstein would like to move the closing time from 10 p.m. to midnight.
