India today recorded 84,332 new coronavirus infections within 24 hours. This is the lowest level in more than two months in the pandemic-hit country, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
A total of 29.4 million cases of infection have been detected so far. Globally, this is the second-highest figure after the United States.
The number of deaths related to the coronavirus recently rose to 367,081, but the number of unreported cases is likely to be much higher.
