The Czech Republic will in future classify Austria as a country with a medium risk of infection due to the rising infection figures on its CoV travel traffic light. Starting next Monday, Austria will move from the green list with a low risk of infection to the orange list of countries with a medium risk of infection, the Czech Foreign Ministry announced yesterday.
No change for travelers from Austria
In practice, however, this does not mean any change for people entering the country from Austria. They still have to register and show a negative test upon entry. Those who have been fully vaccinated and those who have recovered are exempt from the test requirement. There are also exceptions for children under the age of six and transit travelers.
