On Monday, 753 Covid 19 patients had to be treated in hospitals. Of them, 191 people long in intensive care units.
From Wednesday, the new staged plan for the new Corona protection measures will apply, these will then take effect depending on the utilization of the intensive care units. The measures will come into force seven days after the limit values are exceeded. Federal states can tighten beyond that on their own authority.
The number of Corona patients has been rising again for days. On Monday, there were 753 patients who had to be treated in hospital, which is 53 more than on Sunday. Of them, 191 people with covid disease long in intensive care units on Monday, by seven more than yesterday and by 21 more than a week ago.
There were 21,253 active infections with the coronavirus reported Monday, a slight decrease from Sunday of 56. In the past 24 hours, one person has died in connection with Covid 19 illness. Overall, the covid-19 pandemic has claimed 10,840 lives in Austria since the outbreak. Per 100,000 population, 121.4 people have died from or with covid-19 since the pandemic began.
