More than 700,000 people have died in the United States in connection with the corona virus.
That’s according to a Reuters calculation based on official data. On average, more than 2,000 people died from or with the virus each day last week. There are about 120,000 new infections per day.

The U.S. has the most cases of infection and death in the world. About 56 percent of the population is fully vaccinated. Sixty-five percent have received at least one dose, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
