Austria will get a lot of sunshine for the most part this coming weekend. But: On Monday, according to a forecast by the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), a weak disturbance zone should pass through.
Already on Friday, mostly sunny weather should prevail. However, some fog and high fog zones will persist, partly into the afternoon, such as in the basins in the south, in the Rhine Valley and at Lake Constance or in the Innviertel. Daytime highs should reach between six and 13 degrees.
Sunny weather almost everywhere
A high determines Saturday – but it is not sunny everywhere from the beginning, because especially in the lowlands, basins and valleys may be partly fog or high fog. However, these will clear by the afternoon and subsequently it will be bright sunny almost everywhere. A maximum of five to twelve degrees is possible during the day.
Weather not without fog
Sunday morning there will again be a few fog patches, which may be somewhat more tenacious around Lake Constance as well as in the Danube valley and in the Waldviertel. In the south and southeast, the day will start with clouds, but they will clear during the morning. Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny and a touch warmer than the previous day.
Partly rainy weather at the beginning of the week
With a disturbance zone, dense clouds will move through from the north on Monday and along the northern side of the Alps from the Tyrolean Unterland to the Mostviertel, it will also rain, especially in the morning and in the forenoon. Snow will fall down to 1,000/1,300 meters. In the rest of Austria, dense clouds will move through at times, especially in the morning, but it will remain mostly dry. In the afternoon, it will often already be sunny, only in the northern congestion tenacious cloud fields will persist. The daily highs will range from seven to 13 degrees.
Clouds bring gloomy weather
Particularly in the north and northeast, but also in the western parts of the country, clouds and high fog will cause mostly cloudy weather on Tuesday. Outside the fog zones, however, the sun will predominate. With maximum temperatures of four to eleven degrees, it will be somewhat cooler.
