There have been 16 new deaths reported related to Covid-19.
After 38,631 new infections on Friday, 34,748 new infections were reported in Austria today. Currently, 295,135 people in Austria are actively infected with coronavirus.
To date, there have been 1,801,040 positive test results in Austria. As of today, 14,077 people across Austria have died as a result of corona virus and 1,491,828 have recovered.
The Austria-wide seven-day incidence is now 2,501.5 cases per 100,000 population.
171 in intensive care
Currently, 1,402 people are receiving hospital treatment for Corona virus. Of these, 171 are being cared for in intensive care units.
Highest seven-day incidence in Vienna
The province with the highest seven-day incidence is currently Vienna with 3,146.9, followed by Tyrol, Salzburg and Vorarlberg (2,918, 2,744 and 2,605.7, respectively). This was followed by Upper Austria (2,378.5), Styria (2,191.5), Carinthia (2,154.6), Lower Austria (2,053.5), and Burgenland (1,788.8). Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,801,040 confirmed Corona cases have already been reported throughout Austria. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 1,491,828 people have recovered.
