From Wednesday to Thursday, 30,914 new infections were registered in Austria. This is just above the average of 29,815 over the past seven days. Currently, 306,438 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 2,344.70. In the past 24 hours, 469,550 new PCR tests were performed. This results in a positive rate of 6.50 percent.
There are also 32 new deaths associated with Covid-19 infection to report. Thus, the pandemic has claimed 14,503 lives in Austria so far.
Meanwhile, the number of Covid 19 patients in hospitals has risen again. On Sunday, 2,263 infected patients had to be treated there, 31 more than on the previous day. Intensive care units again had 188 critically ill patients, up to three from Saturday.
