The pope thanked health care workers at Sunday’s Angelus prayer. “We must think of the many doctors, nurses and caregivers, the volunteers who stay by the side of the sick, treat them, make them feel better, help them,” the pope said.
“In case of illness, we need someone to save us, to help us, and the heroic health workers show their heroic deeds in the time of the pandemic. Heroic deeds, however, exist every day. A round of applause and a big thank you to our doctors, nurses, and caregivers,” the pope said.
