Authorities reported 3,617 new Corona infections and three deaths on Sunday

Vienna – In the past 24 hours, 3,617 new Corona infections have been registered in Austria. There have been 4,181,545 positive test results in Austria so far. Currently, 950 people infected with the Coronavirus are undergoing hospital treatment. Of these, 81 are being cared for in intensive care units.

As of Saturday (May 8, 9:30 a.m.), 18,245 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died, and 4,095,510 have recovered across Austria. In the past 24 hours, three people died following the Corona infection.

The breakdown of new infections by province is as follows:

Burgenland: 239

Carinthia: 225

Lower Austria: 1,051

Upper Austria: 589

Salzburg: 169

Styria: 323

Tyrol: 220

Vorarlberg: 109
