From Wednesday to Thursday, 3,035 new infections were registered in Austria. This is above the average of 2,230 over the past seven days. Currently, 35,732 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 175.41. In the past 24 hours, 129,525 new PCR tests were performed. This results in a positive rate of 2.34 percent.
In addition, there is one new death to report related to Covid-19 infection. The pandemic has thus claimed 18,659 lives in Austria.
Currently, 464 people are being treated in hospitals, and 48 people are being cared for in intensive care units.
