Standing comfortably under the hot shower for 10 minutes or taking a full relaxing bath before bed… ah, there’s probably nothing more pleasant. Unfortunately, this behavior is not necessarily advisable if you want to sleep well through the night.

Experts advise against showering in the evening
According to experts, you should not take a hot shower (or bath) 90 minutes before bedtime. The high temperature gets our circulation going and makes our body, already in rest mode, perky again. So if you often have trouble sleeping, you might want to check if this has something to do with taking a hot shower before going to bed. According to Time Magazine, taking a shower two hours before bedtime is ideal for deep, restful sleep.
