The newly elected officers of the Kapunungan sa mga Bisaya sa Austria (KBA) were inducted into office by the Charge d’Affiares Irene Susan Natividad, Philippine Embassy, Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Alex Chiong, long-time president of the association, said that KBA is one of the oldest Filipino associations in Austria. „The KBA has been an active Filipino organization throughout the past 33 years. It is a massive challenge for all of us to maintain our role as one of Austria’s oldest and most active Filipino organizations. We want to foster our commitment to serving without conditions,“ Mr. Chiong said.
KBA had recently taken the initiative to help and support the stranded Filipinos from war-torn Ukraine.
