Eight thousand seven hundred eighty-five new Corona infections were reported in Austria on Monday. Meanwhile, more than 19,000 people in Austria with Corona infection have died since the pandemic began.
The current summer Corona wave continues to increase the number of infected hospital patients. On Monday, 1,636 covid sufferers had to be treated in domestic hospitals, 88 of whom required intensive medical care. Within a week, 259 infected hospital patients have been added, with 141 since Sunday alone. Eight thousand seven hundred eighty-five new infections were registered in the past 24 hours, the Interior and Health Ministries said.

So far, there have been 4,695,898 positive test results in Austria. As of today (July 25, 9:30 a.m.), 19,006 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died, and 4,551,977 have recovered across Austria. Currently, 1,636 persons infected with coronavirus are receiving hospital care. Of these, 88 are being cared for in intensive care units.
