If Monday starts with highs of up to 30 degrees Celsius, the thermometer will reach 37 degrees again by Friday. In addition, there will be local showers and thunderstorms.

Sun and clouds alternate and the tendency for showers are already high on Monday; in the morning, these local showers are mostly limited to the mountains of the northern side of the Alps; in the afternoon, they are possible everywhere. It is most likely to remain dry in Vorarlberg, but thunderstorms here will arrive in the evening. The wind will be moderate in the Vienna Woods area and brisk from the west. After early values of ten to 19 degrees, there will be highs of 24 to 30 degrees.

Tuesday, the weather in Austria is still unsettled.
With a northwesterly high-altitude current, it will still be unsettled during the day on Tuesday, especially in the country’s eastern half. In the west, it will be dry all day with rising air pressure; otherwise, some spring clouds will develop in the unstably stratified air, especially in the mountains. Generally, rain showers in the south and southeast and thunderstorms are possible from noon. The wind will blow weakly from predominantly westerly directions. After 13 and 19 degrees in the morning, temperatures will reach 26 and 31 degrees in the afternoon.

Wednesday widespread sunshine with highs of 33 degrees.
With high pressure, the sun will shine widely on Wednesday. In the afternoon, some spring clouds will form in the mountains and generally in the east, but only isolated local rain showers are expected. In most of the country, it will remain dry. The wind will blow weakly from the northeast to the southeast. Eleven to 19 degrees at the beginning of the day will be followed by daily highs of 27 to 33 degrees, with the highest values in the west.
Up to 35 degrees are expected in Austria on Thursday.
High air pressure will continue to dominate the weather on Thursday, and hot air masses will again be brought to Austria from the southwest. Thus, the sun will often shine undisturbed over long stretches. Only in the afternoon will the source clouds over the western mountains become more powerful, and the tendency for thunderstorms will increase significantly. Everywhere else, it will remain sunny and stable. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from southeast to southwest. Early temperatures are 13 to 20 degrees, followed by daytime highs of 29 to 35 degrees.

Weather: Thunderstorm tendency on Friday in the afternoon
On the front of a cold front over Germany, the tendency for thunderstorms will increase significantly everywhere in the afternoon on Friday. However, the morning will bring mostly sunny weather, but then more and more high clouds will develop, as well as thunderstorms, some of which will be severe. During the day, the risk of thunderstorms will be lowest in the eastern lowlands. During the day, the wind will shift more and more to the west, often blowing moderately apart from thunderstorm gusts. After 14 to 21 degrees in the morning hours, there will be only about 26 degrees in the west but 37 degrees in the east of the country.
