The number of new Corona infections reported for Austria on Friday is 5,728, with Vienna accounting for more than 1,800 of them.
So far, there have been 4,815,286 positive test results in Austria. As of today (August 12, 9:30 a.m.), 19,257 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died, and 4,717,829 have recovered across Austria. Currently, 1,322 persons infected with coronavirus are receiving hospital care. Of these, 82 are being cared for in intensive care units.

Austria’s federal capital, Vienna, accounts for the newest Corona infections, a release from the Ministry of the Interior shows.
