On Tuesday, 6,018 new coronavirus infections were recorded in Austria, according to the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) data release, which has been consistent since the previous day.
Number of coronavirus infections increased again
The figure is above last week’s average, and the seven-day incidence increased slightly from the previous day to 334 cases per 100,000 population.
There are 905 people in hospital, 26 fewer than the previous day. 54 people are receiving intensive care, this number increased by two in one day and by eight patients since a week ago. Covid deaths added none to the 20,661 pandemic victims in Austria so far.
Currently, there were still about 900 infected people in hospitals and just over 6,000 new infections.
