On Thursday, 4,342 new infections with the coronavirus were reported in Austria. According to the forecast, the number of hospital patients should continue declining.
According to the AGES daily update, four thousand three hundred forty-two new coronavirus infections were recorded in Austria on National Day.

There were 2,096 infected people in hospitals on Thursday morning, 23 fewer than the previous day, and 99 affected people were cared for in intensive care units, seven fewer than on Wednesday and down 33 from the last week.
According to the Corona forecasting consortium, there is a further decrease in the hospital burden in the next two weeks. Regarding new infections, reported positives also continue to decline in most states and age groups.
Three more covid deaths reported
Up to and including the national holiday, there have been 5,421,306 confirmed SARS-CoV-2 cases in Austria since the pandemic began. One or more infections have been confirmed in 5,324,383 people; within the past 24 hours, 6,310 were again considered free of the virus. However, three more deaths were added to a total of 20,946 covid victims in Austria since the previous day.
