Corona measures are now to be relaxed in the healthcare sector as well. The 3G rule for visitors and employees in hospitals, convalescent homes, or old people’s and nursing homes is expected to fall soon.
The 3G rule for hospitals and nursing homes should soon fall. According to the “Salzburger Nachrichten,” this is provided in a draft amendment to the Covid-19 Basic Measures Ordinance. However, the obligation to wear masks in these facilities is to remain in place. Individual federal states may continue to provide for stricter measures as before.
Experts “are constantly examining which protective measures are effective,” the office of Health Minister Johannes Rauch (Greens) told APA on Friday afternoon. Currently, Corona measures are being evaluated in vulnerable areas such as hospitals.
Corona is not the only burden on the healthcare system
Recently, it has become increasingly clear that Corona is no longer the only burden on our healthcare system. The statement emphasized that we face multiple viral diseases simultaneously, and their impact must be considered. It said the FFP2 mask reliably helps against influenza, RS, and Coronaviruses. Both corona vaccination and recovery, on the other hand, provide only temporary protection against infection.
Corona ordinance is currently set to expire on January 15, 2023
