According to AGES figures, four thousand three hundred forty-seven new SARS-CoV-2 infections were registered in Austria on Friday. More than 1,000 covid patients had to be treated in hospitals on Saturday morning. The Corona pandemic has already claimed more than 21,200 lives.
New SARS-CoV-2 infections registered in Austria on Friday, according to figures from the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), were below the average for the previous seven days, when 4,682 new cases were added daily. The seven-day incidence was 363 cases per 100,000 population. There are currently 48,765 laboratory-confirmed active cases in Austria, up 554 from the previous day.
More than 30 additional Corona-related deaths registered
In the past seven days, 33 other Corona-related deaths have been reported in this country. The Covid 19 pandemic has claimed 21,231 lives in Austria since the outbreak.
More than 4,300 new Corona infections were registered Friday
In the hospitals had to be treated on Saturday morning again more than 1,000 Covid patients, namely 1004. Within a week, there was an increase of 70 here. Overall, however, the situation in the hospitals is stable. Fifty-seven people are currently being cared for in intensive care units, a decrease of twelve patients within one week.
