The meteorologists at Geosphere Austria predicted on Sunday that some regions may have rain. Although the early temperatures will be a little chilly, they will rise to around 20 degrees during the day.

On Monday, a disturbance zone will cross Austria from the southwest, bringing clouds and intermittent rain. In the first half of the day, the precipitation will accumulate on the southern side of the Alps. Later, the rain showers will move northwards but will decrease overall. The snow line will be between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The wind will blow from southerly directions into the afternoon and will still be brisk, especially in the foehn valleys on the northern side of the Alps. Later, however, the wind will ease and increasingly turn to the west. Early temperatures will range from minus 2 to plus 8 degrees, with daytime highs of 10 to 21 degrees.

During the day, sun and clouds will alternate on Tuesday. It will be sunniest in the eastern half of Austria. There will be isolated showers throughout the day, especially in the western half. The snow line will be between 1,700 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The wind will be weak to moderate, mainly from the southwest. Temperatures will rise to minus 3 to plus 5 degrees in the morning and to 11 to 17 degrees during the day.

Rain in the west on Wednesday
On Wednesday, clouds will predominate in the west and southwest and frequently rain here. Everywhere else, the sun will shine at least occasionally. Still, occasionally patches of cloud will move across the sky, and in the afternoon the tendency to shower will generally increase somewhat. The snow line will temporarily drop towards 1,000 meters in the west, otherwise it will be between 1,400 and 1,800 meters above sea level. Moderate to brisk southerly winds will sometimes blow in the east and on the eastern edge of the Alps. Early morning temperatures reach 1 to 7 degrees, and daytime highs from west to east are between 9 and 20 degrees.

With a south-westerly high current and weak low pressure influence, fields of cloud will continue to move across the sky on Thursday and the sun will only appear occasionally. At first, some rain is still possible, especially in the north-east, and during the day there will be local showers, especially in the mountains along the main Alpine ridge to the eastern edge of the Alps and south of there. The snow line will reach 1,200 to 1,600 meters above sea level. In the mountains and the south and southeast, winds will blow briskly from the south to southwest in places. Early morning temperatures will rise to between 1 and 7 degrees, daytime highs between 10 and 18 degrees.

On Friday, clouds will mostly predominate in the west and southwest, and it will rain from the start on the southern side of the Alps. It will remain free of precipitation everywhere for a long time, with showers gradually spreading to the north of the Alps and then to the east in the evening as the Föhn wind breaks down. Generally, the sun will still shine occasionally in the north and east. The wind will blow briskly in foehn lines, on the eastern edge of the Alps, and in the east, in exposed locations that are also strong and stormy from the south. On Friday, early temperatures will reach minus 1 to plus 9 degrees depending on the wind, with daytime highs of 11 to 21 degrees.
