The protection against the coronavirus decreases noticeably after half a year. Therefore, the recommendation of the National Vaccination Panel is: booster vaccination for all adults.
Third vaccination: Where can I register?
Registration for the third vaccination varies from province to province. On the info page of “Österreich impft” you will find an overview of all federal states. There are also hotlines where you can get information. Basically, 1450 also provides information on third party vaccinations.
If you want to get vaccinated again at your family doctor, you can get information at the respective practice locations (best by phone).
Third vaccination: Where can I get vaccinated?
In principle, vaccinations will continue to be given at the vaccination centers. However, in some federal states you have to register for the third vaccination.
In others – such as Styria, for example – all people who have booked their first two vaccinations via the registration platform receive a vaccination invitation. So they don’t have to take action themselves. All others, for example those who have been vaccinated by their family doctor, have to take care of the third vaccination themselves and register.
Vienna: (Third) vaccination without appointment
There is now the possibility to get vaccinated against the coronavirus at several locations in Vienna without an appointment. The third vaccinations will also be administered at these locations without an appointment. All you need is a photo ID and your e-card.
There are fixed vaccination locations:

Vaccination boxes at Rathausplatz and Reumannplatz
Supermarkets: Billa Plus in Ottakring, at Wienerberg and Brigittenau
Several shopping centers such as Lugner City or Gerngross
Vaccination at the university: location at the TU Vienna
Mobile vaccinations:
Two vaccination buses are on the road in Vienna and stop at different locations: Here you can find the tour schedule.
Here you can find more information about vaccinations in Vienna and a booster calculator.
You can also book an appointment at the Vienna Vaccination Service if you prefer a fixed time (recommended due to long waiting times at some locations).
Corona vaccination for children and adolescents
In Vienna, children between the ages of five and eleven will also be vaccinated against the corona virus starting November 15.
Adolescents twelve to 15 years of age in Vienna must provide 2.5G proof, meaning they have been vaccinated, recovered or PCR tested.
Children twelve years of age and older can already register for vaccinations in the appropriate provinces.
Should I take an antibody test before the third vaccination?
Health Minister Wolfgang Mückstein informed that no antibody determination is necessary before the third prick. According to Mückstein, the test does not tell whether you are immune to the coronavirus.
