In the past 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. Thursday), 11,948 new Corona infections have been registered in Austria. A week ago, there were 10,483 new cases. In addition, precisely 587 deaths were subsequently reported. Thus, the total number of Corona deaths since the pandemic is now well above the 20,000 mark. Meanwhile, occupancy rates in hospital Corona wards continue to fall.
The Ministry of Health already post-reported 3412 deaths on Tuesday – bringing the total number of deaths to 19,851. On Wednesday, another 31 were added.
More than 20,000 Corona deaths in total
With the 587 cases now subsequently reported on Thursday, Corona deaths are now believed to be 20,469. Since Tuesday’s follow-up report is not yet included in the data provided by the Ministry of Health, the figures still differ in the graphs in this regard.
