Vienna also announced further steps against inflation on Tuesday.
Now the new Viennese energy support is extended by a further column, as mayor Michael Ludwig and finance city councilor Peter Hanke (both SPÖ) explained on Tuesday. A one-time payment of 200 euros is planned. They said that around 650,000 households, or more than 1 million people will get the said bonus.
The Minister of Social Affairs wants to improve the energy bonus
Income limits must be observed to receive the compensation: Eligible are in Vienna main registered with a maximum annual gross income of 40,000 euros for single-person households or 100,000 euros total yearly income for multi-person families. The support is paid out upon application in the fourth quarter.
