Since Monday, new rules for the everyday life of Austrians have been in effect once again this year. AustrianPress provides answers to some of the questions raised by our readers:
Is it possible to travel via the “Große or Kleine Deutsche Eck?” when I want to go to Voralrberg?
Yes, says the ÖAMTC. There is no quarantine when passing through Germany. The situation can change, information under www.oeamtc.at.
The government has announced new entry regulations. What will then apply to 24-hour nurses?
The new entry regulation to apply from December 19 to January 10. A regulation for this is to be expected for this week. It is planned that everyone entering Austria from a risk area will be placed in a ten-day quarantine. Currently, all neighboring countries and Romania, from where many nurses come, are considered risk areas. For 24-hour caregivers, an exception is being planned.
Our association has a general assembly. May we hold it, and what are the rules?
Meetings of the association are permitted if the meeting cannot be held in digital form. Participants must wear a mask and keep one meter distance to persons from outside the household. The consumption of food and beverages is not allowed.
We are a choir (six people) and would sing Christmas carols outside. Is this allowed?
No. During the day, meetings of six adults are allowed, but they may not come from more than two different households. After 8 pm these meetings are also not allowed. There are no exceptions for amateur musicians.
Can I visit my parents for two days, even if they live in another state?
Yes, this is still allowed. Although it is forbidden to stay outside your own private living area from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., visiting close relatives is considered an exception. There are no geographical restrictions.
