More than 400,000 people have already registered for coronavirus vaccination in Vienna. Among older people, there are apparently concerns that registration is not possible without the Internet. It goes however also over the health Hotline 1450.

People over 80 are to be vaccinated in Vienna from mid-February at the latest. Already now the reservation for it is possible, not only in the Internet under Impfservice.wien, but also with the health hotline 1450. Even if that within one week already over 400,000 humans made, one would not have to worry that there are no more inoculation doses. There is explicitly no “first come, first serve” principle for the preregistration, i.e. it is not sorted according to the time of preregistration.

Relatives can make reservations
Relatives can also make the reservation if someone is not able to do so themselves. This can also be done by telephone, as each registered person must have an e-mail address or telephone number assigned to them. This is to avoid irregularities in the registration process.

The city guessed that about 40 percent of all preregistrations will be done by phone. Pre-registered individuals will be notified by phone or electronically when an in-person immunization appointment can be selected. When that is will be based on a weighting within the at-risk group. The City of Vienna has also published a vaccination schedule for guidance.
