The number of Covid-19 patients in Austria has increased significantly compared to the previous day: Until Sunday, 8 March 2020, 9 pm, 105 positively tested persons were known. Two people from Upper Styria tested positive in the afternoon. On Saturday evening, the number was 81. 4,500 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus in Austria so far.

The most cases were reported from Vienna (32), Lower Austria (31) and Styria 10 cases.

On 25 February, two people tested positive for the novel coronavirus for the first time in Austria (Innsbruck).
