To date, there have been 410,230 positive test results in Austria. As of today (January 28, 2021, 09:30 a.m.), 7,607 people across Austria have died as a result of Corona virus and 387,787 have recovered. Currently, 1,791 people are undergoing hospital treatment due to the Corona virus, and 298 of the ill are in intensive care units.
New infections since the last report are divided among the provinces as follows:
Burgenland: 31
Carinthia: 83
Lower Austria: 273
Upper Austria: 223
Salzburg: 127
Styria: 169
Tyrol: 172
Vorarlberg: 59
Vienna: 312
In the release it says about the late reports from last night: “There have been numerous late reports of infection cases in the Epidemiological Reporting Register (EMS). These subsequent reports are exclusively adjustments of the data in the EMS. However, these cases were already fully accounted for in the provincial data collected via videoconference.”
