Yesterday, with 1,574 new infections, the highest value since the beginning of May was reported. In addition, more than 400 Covid-19 sufferers had to be treated in hospitals on Wednesday for the first time in eleven weeks.
From Wednesday to Thursday, 1,438 new Corona infections were registered in Austria. Compared to the previous week (1,226), this is 212 infections more.
In Austria’s hospitals are currently 415 people in connection with a covid disease, which is two less than the previous day. 95 patients are in intensive care – that is nine more than the day before.
In addition, there are two new deaths related to Covid 19 infection to report, bringing the pandemic death toll in Austria to 10,772 so far. The number of active cases is up 10,772. The seven-day incidence rises to 98.94.
In the past 24 hours, 70,839 PCR tests have been performed, with a positive rate of 2.03 percent.
