In the fall and winter, Andreas Gassen, CEO of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV), estimates that virtually all unvaccinated people will become infected with corona.
“We will see that in all likelihood everyone who is not vaccinated will become infected in the next few months,” Gassen told Bild TV on Sunday evening.
Measures other than vaccination offer no protection against the coronavirus, he said. “It’s a deceptive security if people think that because they don’t go to the carnival or still wear a mask in the subway, they are protected from getting infected with Corona,” Gassen said.
“We will not have calm in the sense of an epidemic situation until the majority of the population is actually vaccinated or recovered,” the KBV chief said. Gassen gave the rate of non-vaccinated people as 30 percent.
