In the past 24 hours (as of 9:30 a.m. Sunday), 22,075 new coronavirus infections have been recorded in Austria. On Sunday a week ago, it was still 25,951. 19 people who were sick with Covid-19 died in the current comparison period. In the normal wards, the occupancy rate decreased by eleven places, while in the intensive care units, one patient was added.
A total of 14,581 people who had Covid-19 have died since the pandemic began (as of 9:30 a.m. Sunday). 2,169,869 people have recovered. 2048 people are currently being cared for in hospitals in Corona normal wards, and 186 also require intensive care.
The new infections are distributed among the individual provinces as follows:
